The Provincial Party Secretary welcomed the delegation to work in the province. He emphasized the results of the recent visit and work of the Cao Bang delegation to Guangxi (China). Through visiting, researching, learning and directly visiting aluminum production and processing factories, it can be seen that Guangxi is one of the largest aluminum industrial centers in China and plays an important role in the global aluminum supply chain with strong investment in developing mining and deep processing technology.
Appreciating the Group's interest in the province's bauxite mining potential, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that in the exploration, exploitation and processing of ores in general, and bauxite ores in particular, special attention should be paid to technology; environmental protection and the treatment of red mud and waste discharged into the environment. In addition, there are some difficulties in determining the existing ore reserves due to the difference in data from exploration reports compared to reality. Therefore, it is necessary to determine relatively accurately the exact reserves of aluminum bauxite ore in Cao Bang, thereby including them in the exploitation and processing planning. With the motto of open, effective and sustainable cooperation, the province is always ready to create the most favorable conditions for investors, ensuring full compliance with Vietnamese law, in accordance with the national mineral industry planning, while focusing on environmental protection and ensuring long-term livelihoods for local people.
Head of the ASEAN Cooperation Working Group, Guangxi Investment Group Jingxin said that Guangxi Investment Group is a 100% state-owned company. Currently, the group has 270 subsidiaries with about 32,000 employees; investing mainly in the fields of: energy, digital economy , digital management, healthcare. In addition to aluminum mining, the group focuses on investing in processing high-quality aluminum for application in various fields; the surplus value from the Group's aluminum production accounts for about 30% of the entire Guangxi province.
Agreeing with the opinions and sharing of the Provincial Party Secretary, the Guangxi Group affirmed that the unit has used the most modern technologies in mining and processing; built a treatment system to reduce 30% of red mud discharge into the environment. Through the visit and work, the Group wishes to cooperate and deploy the exploration of bauxite ore reserves in some northern provinces of Vietnam, including Cao Bang province, to study the feasibility of cooperation in investment in mineral mining and processing projects.
The Group respectfully invites the Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee to attend the China - ASEAN Trade Fair Program in September, held in Nanning. At the same time, we hope to implement the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Guangxi Investment Group and Cao Bang Province at the program to promote practical and effective cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Quan Minh Cuong proposed building flexible forms of cooperation, such as joint ventures, capital and technical support suitable to the capacity and practical conditions of the locality. He believed that the working trip would contribute to strengthening trust, enhancing mutual understanding, and opening up many opportunities for practical and effective cooperation between the two sides.
