Vietnam women's volleyball team wins big against Philippines

Tonight (June 14), the Vietnamese women's volleyball team affirmed their strength as the reigning champions of the AVC Nations Cup when they won a convincing 3-0 victory over the Philippines to take the championship title. In the decisive match, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet fielded his strongest lineup with Tran Thi Thanh Thuy, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, Nguyen Thi Trinh, Doan Thi Lam Oanh, Nguyen Thi Uyen, Khanh Dang. The hitter from Vinh Long, Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen, showed her outstanding technical ability. With good momentum and the good support of setter Lam Oanh, Bich Tuyen launched many extremely powerful high smashes, "tearing apart" the Philippine team's block, scoring points for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.

After a 25/15 victory in the first game, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team faced fierce "resistance" from the Philippines team in game 2, but Bich Tuyen, Thanh Thuy and their teammates rose up at the right time, winning 25/17.

Individual titles of the Vietnam women's volleyball team

In addition to the championship title, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team also had many faces honored in individual categories:

Bich Tuyen scored an excellent double and was the best athlete of the tournament.
Thanh Thuy is an excellent striker.
Khanh Dang is an excellent libero.

Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared that the team's success, in addition to defending the championship title, all 14 players were given the opportunity to play. Each player, depending on their ability, has made practical contributions. The team's members will be selected through upcoming tournaments to have the best force for the 33rd SEA Games in December in Thailand.

The Filipino girls played with great effort in game 3, but Bich Tuyen still showed her outstanding professional ability, often "firing cannons" to score points for the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. There were no surprises when the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won 25/14 in game 3, thereby winning the championship.

Successfully defending the AVC Nations Cup championship title helps the Vietnamese women's volleyball team maintain its position in the top 30 of the International Volleyball Federation rankings. This is also the motivation for coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team to aim for the World Volleyball Championship in August and the 33rd SEA Games in December in Thailand.
