Trieu Hong Ho Em (the person sitting in the car on the right) is a model for a disabled youth, a symbol of determination and a lesson for the relentless efforts of An Giang youth. Overcoming all difficulties and health obstacles, with passion and ingenuity, Ho Em is known to everyone as an artisan with golden hands, creating many extremely sophisticated and beautiful bamboo handicrafts. |
Sharing with Thoi Dai Magazine, Trieu Hong Ho Em, An Giang said: "When I learned that I was selected for the 6th national conference to honor people with disabilities, orphans, and outstanding sponsors, I was really surprised and moved. This was my first time attending, so I was a bit worried and apprehensive. I was worried that my difficulty walking, coupled with my poor health, would affect the group. However, when I attended, I felt completely comfortable, from the An Giang local delegation to the volunteers visiting Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, and even during the conference, I was enthusiastically helped by everyone, erasing all my hesitation and shyness when participating in a large and crowded event. As one of 368 representatives of people with disabilities nationwide, I feel so small compared to the extraordinary determination, efforts and dedication of other disabled people, who have a great will, great efforts and contributions to society. I feel that I have many more role models to follow." Try harder. In the future, I will try to do well in my current job, and if I have the opportunity, I will definitely teach handmade bamboo crafts for free to friends in the same situation as me."
