Nguyen Van Tai entered the game explosively
On October 7, the second qualifying round of the Antwerp Billiards World Cup 2025 took place. In this round, Vietnam billiards had 5 players competing, including: Nguyen Van Tai, Nguyen Chi Long, Thon Viet Hoang Minh, Pham Dinh Luan and Pham Quoc Thuan. In particular, the highlight match was the debut of Nguyen Van Tai, when he faced a strong opponent from the United States - Pedro Piedrabuena (who defeated world number 1 Dick Jaspers at the World Games arena last August in China).
Facing a tough opponent, the Vietnamese player played confidently and won convincingly. Nguyen Van Tai only needed 10 turns to defeat the American master with a very big score difference, 30-11.
Right in the second turn, Van Tai made his mark with a big series of 12 points. The match entered the break after only 3 turns, when Van Tai had the advantage of leading, 16-0.
