According to many firefighting equipment store owners in Hai Duong City, since the beginning of the year, the demand for firefighting, rescue, and first aid equipment, especially portable fire extinguishers, has not increased. The prices of these items are also stable. The stores have abundant supplies to serve the people.
The owner of a fire-fighting equipment store on Nguyen Luong Bang Street said that for many months now, the store has kept the price of small gas fire extinguishers at VND580,000/bottle; large ones at VND800,000/bottle; 4 kg powder extinguishers at VND320,000/bottle and 8 kg extinguishers at VND480,000/bottle.
A fire-fighting equipment store owner on Bach Dang Street also informed that prices and demand from people have basically not increased compared to previous months.
According to some shop owners, in September 2023, when a mini apartment fire occurred in Khuong Dinh ward, Thanh Xuan district, Hanoi (killing dozens of people), many people were worried and insecure and bought fire extinguishers and rescue equipment, so now there are only a few buyers. The recent fire at a boarding house in Hanoi did not increase the demand for this item.
When people need to buy portable fire extinguishers, they need to go to reputable stores and choose products with inspection stamps from authorities.
