Ministry of Public Security commends Thanh Hoa Police for dismantling fake drug production ring

On September 16, Major General Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Deputy Minister of Public Security, sent a letter of commendation to the Director of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police and the Chief of Thanh Hoa City Police for their achievements in dismantling a large-scale production and trade ring of counterfeit disease prevention and treatment drugs nationwide.

The Letter states: The leaders of the Ministry of Public Security were reported: Recently, the Thanh Hoa City Police, Thanh Hoa Province have effectively deployed professional measures, organized the fight, and destroyed a large-scale production and trading ring of counterfeit disease prevention and treatment drugs nationwide, arrested and prosecuted 07 subjects, seized 31,679 boxes of various types of drugs, 2.2 tons of additives, excipients, and many machines, equipment, documents, and evidence of the case.

This is an outstanding achievement, demonstrating the determination, high sense of responsibility, and sharpness in professional skills of Thanh Hoa Provincial Police in general and Thanh Hoa City Police in particular in implementing the direction of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on preventing and combating crimes of manufacturing and trading counterfeit goods. The results of the investigation and discovery of the case have contributed to protecting people's health, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of businesses, creating a healthy business environment; at the same time deterring criminals, strengthening people's trust in the People's Public Security force.

On behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Ngoc Lam acknowledged and commended the achievements of the comrades.

The Deputy Minister requested the Thanh Hoa Provincial Police to continue to coordinate with the Police of relevant units and localities to urgently investigate, expand the case, consolidate documents and evidence to propose prosecution of the subjects according to the law.
