The Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention ( Ministry of Public Security ) posted information about the anti-fraud call feature that Google has just updated on Android phones.

Accordingly, Google has updated the fraud warning feature in the Google Phone application, helping Android phone users identify the risk of fraud as soon as a call comes in.

Specifically, when the system detects signs of suspected fraud in a call or message, the application will display a visual warning in real time so that users can promptly recognize the risk.

Additionally, in the event that a user shares their screen during a call, a tactic often used to steal sensitive information, Google will automatically prompt them to stop sharing as soon as the call ends.

This feature is also capable of detecting risky situations, such as when a user shares the banking application screen to an unknown phone number. The device will immediately issue a warning and suggest turning off screen sharing, to prevent unauthorized access and asset misappropriation.

The Cyber Security Department assessed this as an important step forward in protecting smartphone users amid increasingly sophisticated and difficult-to-detect phone, text and website scams, causing a lot of damage to property and personal information.

Previously, on June 27, the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (Ministry of Public Security) officially coordinated with Google to launch the campaign "Preventing online fraud - Safer with the Ministry of Public Security and Google".

Through the coordination between authorities, technology businesses and the content creation community, the campaign is expected to contribute to reducing risks in cyberspace.

At the same time, the cooperation with Google also aims at the long-term goal of building a safe and reliable digital environment, where people and businesses can confidently exploit the potential of technology in a sustainable manner.

Beware of cheap travel scams.
