The Ministry of Public Security will have a 'vaccine' to treat the 'variant Viet A virus' that is common in some localities.

Responding to the question, Lieutenant General To An Xo, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, said that with the motto of "handling one case to warn the whole region and field", the Ministry of Public Security has actively "examined and treated" a number of incurable diseases in the fight against corruption and negativity.

Recently, the Ministry of Public Security has handled the Viet A, Rescue Flight, FLC, SCB cases... and is now moving to the fields of electricity, petroleum, sand, gravel and rock.

According to Lieutenant General To An Xo, the case at Tuan An Group Joint Stock Company and Binh Thuan Power Company is a typical example in this field. The investor and contractor colluded to raise the prices of many electrical equipment and materials, from several tens to several hundred percent.

"In the case involving Tuan An Company, Binh Thuan Electricity Company had materials with prices increased by 300%. This is one of the reasons for the increase in electricity prices, causing damage to consumers," said Mr. To An Xo.

Regarding the "variant Viet A virus" that is relatively common in some localities, Lieutenant General To An Xo emphasized that in the near future, the Ministry of Public Security will have a "vaccine" to treat this virus.

In the Xuyen Viet Oil case, Lieutenant General To An Xo said that the investigation agency is freezing 17 personal accounts, with an amount of over 4 billion VND.

Regarding the case that occurred at Xuyen Viet Oil Trading, Transport and Tourism Company Limited, Hai Ha Waterway Transport Company Limited (Hai Ha Petro) and a number of related units, Lieutenant General To An Xo said that this is a typical example of violations related to the petroleum sector.

For more information, Mr. To An Xo said that the case of Xuyen Viet Oil and Hai Ha Petro and some related units is typical of violations of regulations on petroleum import and export, management and use of the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.

"Hai Ha Company has caused losses and damages to the State Budget, initially estimated at about 15 billion VND and a loss of more than 300 billion VND," informed the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security.

In the Xuyen Viet Oil case, Lieutenant General To An Xo said that the investigation agency is freezing 17 personal accounts, with an amount of over 4 billion VND; temporarily suspending the purchase, sale and transfer of 54 real estates under the names of individuals, and 16 real estates under the names of companies.

"Although Tet is approaching, the investigation agency is still determined to speed up the investigation of the case, with a spirit of determination, resoluteness, no forbidden zones, no exceptions to prevent crime and thoroughly recover state assets," Lieutenant General To An Xo emphasized.
