The Provincial Border Guard manages a 192 km long coastline, stretching across 7 districts, towns and cities. The coastal border area of the province has tens of thousands of households living, of which some families are still living in makeshift, dilapidated housing conditions. Thoroughly understanding the humane meaning of the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the Provincial Border Guard Command quickly took action with the highest determination. Therefore, as soon as the Provincial Party Committee and the Border Guard Command directed, responding to the 50-day peak campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses of the Provincial Steering Committee, on April 2, 2025, the Provincial Border Guard Command issued a deployment plan to all Border Guard Stations on the coastal border. In the spirit of determination, 8/9 Border Guard Stations urgently developed detailed plans and established volunteer teams to support the construction of new houses for people, each team consisting of 6 officers and soldiers directly in charge of the station commander. Only Phu Quy Port Border Guard Station did not have any subjects needing to build or repair houses, so it was not implemented.



The highlight of this peak period is the spirit of contribution of the "green uniform" soldiers being promoted to the maximum. Statistics by the end of April 2025, Border Guard Stations have sent over 600 officers and soldiers to participate in more than 700 working days, directly helping people dismantle, repair and rebuild 29 houses. In addition, the units also coordinated to organize 26 propaganda sessions, attracting more than 1,300 people to attend, contributing to strongly spreading the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the community. In addition to contributing, the Provincial Border Guard also actively coordinated with localities to mobilize organizations, businesses and philanthropists to join hands to support people in building and repairing houses. To date, nearly 70 million VND has been mobilized to support the construction of 3 houses for disadvantaged households in the area under their management.
The Provincial Border Guard Command said that the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses is not only a political task, but also a responsibility and sentiment of Border Guard soldiers towards the people. This is also one of the meaningful and practical activities, contributing to consolidating the people's hearts, helping people settle down and make a living, and at the same time is a vivid demonstration of the blood relationship between the army and the people, which is the foundation for building a solid people's border defense posture. Thoroughly implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, in the coming time, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Border Guard will continue to contribute their efforts; closely coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to promote propaganda to create consensus, mobilize social resources in many forms to contribute to the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. During that process, the Provincial Border Guard Command will organize commendations, recognition or coordinate to propose timely commendations for collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, contributing to spreading beautiful images of "green uniform" soldiers serving the people.
In the first 4 months of 2025, the whole province has carried out a program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for 689/971 households that meet legal conditions for residential land (reaching 71%). Accumulated from August 2024 to present, the whole province has eliminated temporary and dilapidated houses for 891/1,173 households that meet legal conditions for residential land (reaching 76%). The province has completed and started construction, construction, and repair of 188/188 houses for families with revolutionary contributions (reaching 100%), of which 159 houses have been completed and 29 houses have started construction.
