In 2025, the Party Committee and Command of the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard have led and directed the comprehensive completion of border defense tasks. The unit has a firm grasp of the local situation, closely coordinated with other forces, and achieved many outstanding results in the fight against crime; maintained political security, social order and safety in the coastal border area and port gates; contributed to consolidating the people's border defense, effectively serving the city's development tasks.

In 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command will focus on thoroughly grasping and strictly implementing resolutions and directives on military , defense, and border tasks; strictly maintaining combat readiness, practicing combat plans; coordinating to ensure security and order for important events, especially the 14th National Congress of the Party. The unit will continue to step up the fight against crime, smuggling, and illegal entry and exit; resolutely combat IUU fishing, and maintain strict supervision of fishing vessels. The work of building the force will be focused on the direction of revolution, discipline, eliteness, and modernity; improving the quality of training, political education, and discipline management; promoting administrative reform associated with the implementation of electronic border procedures and digital border gate platforms.

In his speech, Major General Vu Van Dien praised the results achieved by the City Border Guard Command in the past time; at the same time, he requested the unit to continue to promote its core and specialized role in protecting sovereignty and security of sea borders and ports. The unit needs to actively innovate training methods, strictly maintain combat readiness; improve the quality of professional officers and soldiers; strengthen discipline management, build a disciplined, strong and comprehensive unit "Exemplary, typical".
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command commended 19 collectives and 26 individuals with outstanding achievements in the 2025 Emulation Movement.
