The 2025 admission season had many problems: candidates went from passing to failing, having enough points for the upper wish but passing the lower wish, or the "pass - fail" status was not displayed on the common system.
Sharing with VietNamNet , a representative of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training) said that some errors in the admission results have been discovered, mainly due to inaccurate data and the establishment of input conditions in the admission of some schools.
A representative of the Department of Higher Education confirmed that the admission system and algorithm are operating normally and stably.
“Even if it is a system error, the Ministry of Education and Training is ready to accept it. But so far, we have checked and the admission system has no problems. Errors occurred at some schools in establishing admission requirements. Out of a total of 513 admission points (schools, school branches) for admission, only a few schools had errors due to incorrect virtual filtering procedures (of some majors at those schools),” he said.
The representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that this year, with a huge amount of data, along with diverse admission methods and conditions of universities and colleges, errors are inevitable, even at a very small rate. As in previous years, errors mainly come from admission input data (methods, conditions, criteria, evidence of priority, foreign language certificates, etc.). In addition, there are also some errors due to manual operations of admission officers.
According to the admission regulations, the Ministry of Education and Training is responsible for resolving errors. If necessary, the Ministry will support, guide and direct other universities to coordinate in handling the issue.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, from the evening of August 23 until now, the Ministry's admissions department has received and forwarded 20-30 complaints from candidates through all channels to schools for processing every day. After listening to the opinions reflecting on major errors of some higher education institutions, the Ministry of Education and Training has directed and provided timely guidance; to date, most cases have been resolved in accordance with regulations.
The Ministry of Education and Training confirmed: The cases where candidates have not been able to access information are due to schools not completing the data or having errors. All errors will be promptly handled, and all qualified candidates will be notified of enrollment on time.
