Tuyen Quang completely controls African swine fever in 5 communes, putting an end to concerns!
Tuyen Quang province has just recorded an important step forward in the prevention of African swine fever. According to information from the Department of Animal Husbandry, Veterinary and Fisheries, 5 communes in the province have successfully suppressed the disease, with no new cases detected for 21 consecutive days.
Specifically, the communes of Xuan Giang, Ngoc Long, Ban May, Sa Phin and Thuong Son—places that were the first hot spots of the epidemic—have now been declared disease-controlled. This impressive result was achieved thanks to close coordination and drastic implementation of measures to isolate, quarantine and handle the outbreak in a timely manner.
However, Tuyen Quang authorities remain on high alert. Veterinary stations and quarantine checkpoints have been directed to continue strict monitoring. People and livestock farms have been instructed to strictly implement sanitation and regularly spray disinfectants in their barns to prevent the disease from re-emerging.
In particular, to ensure safety for the livestock industry, the Department recommends that households wishing to re-herd must choose breeding pigs of clear origin and that have been quarantined. Absolutely do not buy floating piglets of unknown origin on the market to completely eliminate the risk of disease recurrence.
