Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment Agency, said that on August 20, 2019, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 50-NQ/TW on orientations for perfecting institutions and policies, improving the quality and efficiency of foreign investment cooperation by 2030, prioritizing selective investment attraction, ensuring widespread connectivity between the foreign investment sector and the domestic economic sector. Large-scale, high-tech projects with technology transfer will enjoy competitive incentives. Projects that meet green standards will enjoy corporate income tax incentives.

In state management, Vietnam always upholds the spirit of accompanying investors from the central to local levels in the implementation process. At the same time, it builds a legal framework in an open, transparent, predictable direction and coordinates with relevant parties to accompany investors to ensure their confidence. For localities, Vietnam is always by investors' side to ensure quick procedures and timely handling of problems within its authority. In case of exceeding authority, it coordinates with higher authorities to promptly handle them for investors.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed Vietnam's investment licensing sector; better understood Vietnam's support in the fields of green investment and green environment. Studying Vietnam's experience in managing investment sectors, how Vietnam effectively manages investment projects. Learning about the functions of the Ministry of Planning and Investment in supervising investment laws. Vietnam's open exchanges and discussions helped the Indonesian delegation better understand Vietnam's current policies, regulations and incentives for foreign direct investment (FDI), especially in green sectors such as renewable energy and sustainable industries. The delegation also hoped that the meeting could bring about further economic cooperation and development opportunities between Indonesia and Vietnam, in the fields of green economy, digital, renewable energy and high-tech industries.

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan also said that Vietnam always creates all conditions for the development of all economic sectors, so there is no distinction between foreign investment and domestic investment. Foreign investment contributes a lot to the economy, reflected in many aspects such as total foreign investment capital contributes significantly to GDP, and at the same time contributes significantly to the country's import and export. In addition, FDI also helps bring technology, management capacity, values that improve the quality of Vietnamese workers, learn and constantly improve the legal framework on foreign investment. Attracting foreign investors not only brings Vietnam good knowledge and experience, but also brings experience to build and improve the legal framework on foreign investment, helping to increase resilience, improve state management, improve the competitiveness of the economy as well as improve the competitiveness of Vietnamese enterprises.

Mr. Taruna Ikhwanuddin thanked the Vietnamese side for having very specific and clear exchanges and explanations on the questions that Indonesia was interested in. At the same time, he expressed his desire to continue working exchanges between the Indonesian Ministry of Investment and the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment to continue sharing and learning more, in order to further strengthen the relationship between the two ministries./.
