On June 25, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a conference was held to review the work of the first 6 months of 2025 of the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform and the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation of the Ministry.
The conference was chaired by Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Digital Transformation and Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, with the participation of leaders and experts from units in the Ministry who are members of the steering committees.
At the conference, the Deputy Ministers listened to the Ministry's Office, the Department of Cipher and Information Technology and units of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs report on the implementation of administrative reform and digital transformation tasks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the first 6 months and set out directions and tasks for the last 6 months of the year.
The reports affirmed that with the strict implementation of the Party and State's guidelines, resolutions and policies, and the close and drastic direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' leaders, the Ministry's administrative reform and digital transformation work has achieved positive and synchronous results in all areas, especially in public finance reform, public administration modernization, e- Government and digital government construction, and database development.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has seriously and timely implemented the tasks set forth by the Government, minimizing administrative procedures and compliance costs for people and businesses.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has publicly announced 25/28 administrative procedures required to implement the simplification plan in the spirit of Resolution 116/NQ-CP dated September 4, 2018 of the Government; provided 12 public services on the Ministry's public service portal; completed the construction and is ready to put into use the platforms of the Ministry-level e-Government architecture from July 1, 2025 such as the document management and administration system, internal information and data portal, reporting information system serving units within the Ministry and connecting with the Government, the Ministry's new Information Portal system on the Internet...
In addition to the positive points, the units in the Ministry also pointed out a number of difficulties and obstacles in administrative reform and digital transformation such as limited resources, outdated information technology infrastructure and software of the Ministry, incompatible with each other; difficulties in legal regulations on bidding and use of public assets; clarified the causes and proposed many highly feasible solutions.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan and Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang praised the efforts of the units in administrative reform and digital transformation, emphasizing that this is one of the key tasks in the work of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, closely directed by senior leaders of the Party and State.
With the Prime Minister's principle of "no saying no, no saying difficult", the Deputy Ministers directly directed solutions to remove each specific obstacle, requesting units in the Ministry to continue to promote in the coming time, creating strong and substantial changes in administrative reform and digital transformation.
The Ministry's leaders also pointed out key tasks that need to be implemented in the last 6 months of 2025, including synchronously implementing administrative reform and digital transformation, enhancing the responsibility of leaders, strengthening administrative discipline and order, and strengthening supervision and inspection of implementation on the basis of closely following the core tasks of the Ministry.
The Ministry's leaders requested units to urgently, seriously and resolutely carry out tasks, especially tasks related to connecting databases of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of Home Affairs to serve administrative procedure reform; promote digitalization of records and results of administrative procedure settlement; implement plans to reduce and simplify administrative procedures; decentralize and delegate power within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, thereby improving work efficiency and meeting the increasing demands of the Government and the people.
