Bo Trach: Aquatic product output reaches nearly 9,000 tons

(qBĐT) - Head of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Bo Trach district, Do Manh Tai, said that the weather in the first months of 2025 was quite favorable. Thanks to that, fishermen in the district actively went offshore to stick to the sea; promoted aquaculture, contributing to increasing aquatic product output compared to the same period last year.

Seafood exploitation and trading activities in Bo Trach district are bustling thanks to favorable weather.

Specifically, in the first 4 months of the year, aquatic product output reached nearly 9,000 tons, up 1.9% over the same period last year, reaching more than 31% of the plan. The whole district released 260 hectares of various types of shrimp; the remaining area, people are cleaning, draining the pond, and disinfecting to prepare for seed release.

To achieve the set target of aquatic product output, in the coming time, localities in the district will continue to promote fishing and aquaculture. Cleaning ponds, selecting breeds, applying new farming techniques, and preventing diseases are important factors to be concerned with in order to improve the efficiency of aquaculture.
