The two candidates are eligible to win the election in the first round.

Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka - the eldest son of incumbent President Joko Widodo, declared victory on February 14, when post-election survey results showed they had the upper hand.
The two losing candidates, Anies Baswedan and Ganjar Pranowo, announced that they would appeal to the Constitutional Court for irregularities and fraud in the election. According to Indonesia's Election Law, in case of disputes related to the determination of the voting results, the candidates can file a protest to the Constitutional Court within a maximum of 3 days after the official results.
Prabowo Subianto is expected to take office on October 20, leading Indonesia for a five-year term. Announcing the results of the quick vote count earlier, Prabowo Subianto pledged to form a government of "the best Indonesians", protect all citizens, regardless of ethnicity, religion or social background, and work for the best interests of the Indonesian people.
"We call on the Indonesian people to unite, because our challenges remain enormous," said Mr Prabowo, vowing to eradicate poverty and injustice.
Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, 72, won the election on pledges to continue the policies of incumbent President Joko Widodo.
This year's election in Indonesia marks the first change in leadership in the island nation in 10 years. Mr. Prabowo Subianto ran for president in 2014 and 2019, but lost both times to President Joko Widodo.
