BSR plants 1 million trees in Quang Ngai

On December 9, Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company ( BSR ) said that by 2025, the unit will complete planting 1 million trees in Quang Ngai province.

The above tree planting comes from the implementation of the plan of the General Director of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group to deploy the program of planting 3 million trees throughout the Group. Accordingly, BSR launched and registered to plant 1 million trees in Quang Ngai province.

In the implementation plan, BSR will spend 15 billion VND on tree planting. The unit will plant trees scattered around the Dung Quat Oil Refinery, company headquarters, urban areas, historical sites, schools, offices, public places and plant protective forests, support seedlings for people to plant production forests...

To ensure the completion of planting 1 million trees by the end of 2025, BSR proposed to sponsor units and localities of Quang Ngai province to buy seedlings and mobilize social resources to plant more than 995,000 trees. The remaining BSR will plant scattered trees on roads, parks, public places and in the Dung Quat Oil Refinery with a total budget of 500 million VND.

BSR's participation in planting 1 million trees is a practical activity, supporting Quang Ngai province in implementing the plan to plant 15 million trees in the province from 2021 to 2025. Quang Ngai province requires localities to review the land fund they are managing to plant trees in a sustainable manner, then register with the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province.
