After nearly a year of synchronous preparation from infrastructure, equipment to human resource training, Tra Vinh General Hospital officially announced the electronic medical record system (EMR), ready to put into operation in medical examination and treatment, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and serving people better and better.
Dr. Huynh Huu Nhan - Director of Tra Vinh General Hospital spoke at the announcement ceremony of the operation of the electronic medical record system.
The EMR system is designed with many outstanding improvements, fully integrated with paraclinical services such as testing, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy and social insurance portal. Thanks to that, doctors can quickly look up information, shorten waiting time, and simplify administrative procedures for patients.
Data management also becomes more efficient and secure, ensuring confidentiality, easy access, transparency in insurance payments, and supporting statistics, management and scientific research. In particular, the system also helps reduce printing costs, limit paperwork, creating conditions for medical staff to spend more time caring for and improving the quality of treatment for patients - in the spirit of digital transformation of healthcare .

Dr. Huynh Huu Nhan - Director of Tra Vinh General Hospital said that putting EMR records into use is an important milestone in the hospital's digital transformation process, opening up a direction for building a smart hospital model, thereby improving the quality of health care for the people.
“The implementation of the EMR system is just the beginning. To maximize its effectiveness, it requires a long-term process of operation, adjustment and improvement. All staff must continue to promote a sense of responsibility, constantly learn and innovate, so that the EMR can truly promote its value and best serve patients,” the hospital director emphasized.
Director of Vinh Long Province Department of Health Ho Thi Thu Huong said that the implementation of EMR records is an important milestone, marking a new step forward in innovation in health management and improving the quality of medical examination and treatment. EMR not only helps reduce cumbersome paperwork but also aims to build a smart, modern, safe and patient-centered health system.
Currently, Vinh Long province has 16/46 public health facilities implementing EMR. This is considered an important initial step, creating a foundation towards building a smart hospital model, comprehensive and modern management.
