Prime Minister's message to businesses
Chairing and delivering a speech at the conference themed "80 years of Enterprises accompanying the country", Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that this is an opportunity to look back on the glorious historical journey and express gratitude for the great contributions of enterprises and entrepreneurs in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. On behalf of the Party and State leaders and General Secretary To Lam, the Prime Minister sent his best wishes to the Vietnamese business community.
The Prime Minister gave three main messages. The first message: Over the past 80 years, whether in wartime or peacetime, the business community has always followed the Party, accompanied the nation and been closely associated with the country's destiny. Vietnamese businesses and entrepreneurs have always demonstrated patriotism and strong will, making important contributions to mobilizing resources for resistance and national construction and being the pioneering force in economic development.
"After nearly 40 years of innovation, we have nearly 1 million enterprises, of which 98% are private enterprises. Even in difficult times like the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses and entrepreneurs still strive to maintain production and actively support the community, always demonstrating a burning spirit of patriotism and high social responsibility," said the Prime Minister.
Message 2: The Party and the State always stand side by side with and support businesses. The Prime Minister pledged that the Party and the State always pay special attention to and create favorable conditions for the business community to develop sustainably. The Government has been focusing on building and perfecting institutions and laws, ensuring that businesses of all economic sectors are treated fairly and equally.
Key solutions include promoting decentralization and delegation of power; cutting administrative procedures; reducing compliance costs; focusing on removing difficulties for production and business; promoting strategic infrastructure development and training high-quality human resources. In particular, with the promulgation of Resolution 68 on private economic development, this sector has been identified as "the most important driving force of the national economy."
Message 3: Pioneering with the whole country towards a strong future. Entering the new era, the Prime Minister hopes that the business community and entrepreneurs will promote the glorious 80-year tradition, constantly innovate and create to join the whole country in successfully implementing the two 100-year strategic goals set by the 13th Party Congress. The goal is to have about 2 million enterprises by 2030 and at least 3 million enterprises by 2045, with international competitiveness and deep participation in the global value chain.
To realize this vision, the Prime Minister asked the business community to join the Government in promoting the implementation of three strategic breakthroughs under the motto "open institutions - smooth infrastructure - smart entrepreneurs".
The Head of Government called on businesses to continue diversifying markets, products and supply chains; promoting resource mobilization through public-private partnerships; and upholding the spirit of nationalism, self-reliance, solidarity, joint efforts and unity to continue writing the glorious history of 80 years.
