Appearing on the show "Chuyen Toi Cung Sao", singer - actress Phan Nhu Thuy shared intimately about her journey pursuing art, from a little girl humming in the bathroom to a versatile artist with impressive voiceover roles and her cherished music project.

From a young age, Phan Như Thùy showed her passion for singing. “At that time, I was probably only 5 years old, singing all day without knowing that I would pursue this career,” she recalls. The first person to recognize her talent was her grandmother – who silently listened and decided to take her granddaughter to the District 11 Children’s House to learn singing, dancing and jumping. From her first classes, she gradually nurtured her dream of becoming an artist and decided to take the entrance exam to the College of Culture and Arts. “My whole family loves music but no one can follow it, so they all put their hopes on me,” she shares. That was also the motivation for her not to give up, even though after graduating, there were times when she struggled, wavering between passion and reality.
Having gone through many challenges, Phan Nhu Thuy once struggled with her own choices. She did not hesitate to admit that she had been "reckless" when accepting jobs that were not her forte, as long as she had the opportunity to approach art: "People just needed me to come and I would do it. I think that's why I had many good opportunities." Among them, we can mention the turning point in becoming a voice actor, when she accidentally met teacher Dat Phi during a filming and was invited to a casting. "At first, I thought it was just for fun, but I actually passed. The teacher said my voice is slightly hoarse and deep, very suitable for foreign films."

From an “amateur” opportunity, Phan Nhu Thuy continued to be involved with the Buffalo group – the champion of Laughter Across Vietnam 2016 – after being invited by a friend to audition. Although she only intended to learn, she quickly integrated and joined the group in the competition. It was these rich experiences that made her feel lucky. “My path was not fast, but I always met valuable people, unexpected opportunities helped me succeed and learn many remarkable things.”
However, returning to professional music was not easy. “At that time, no one invited me to sing because no one knew I was a singer,” she said. The opportunity came when she met musician Nguyen Van Chung – who helped her rebuild her image in music through the song Noi gio len. Thanks to that, she began to be invited to perform, especially at wedding stages – where she always felt like she was contributing a small part to the joy of others: “Although I have never been married, every time I stand and sing at a wedding, watching the bride and groom step onto the stage, I feel it is a very sacred moment.” From that feeling, Phan Nhu Thuy is nurturing a wedding music album of about 8 songs in collaboration with musician Nguyen Van Chung. She hopes to convey positivity, romance and faith in love through each song.

When asked what message she could give to herself when she first started, she answered without hesitation: “Believe in yourself more”. She had doubts and wanted to change direction, but it was her faith and courage that helped her continue. For Phan Nhu Thuy, art is not only a passion but also a courage and the ability to seize every opportunity, no matter how small. And after all, she still maintains a cheerful and optimistic spirit – as she describes herself: “I am an active person, I like happy things and I don’t like sadness”.
