Localities respond to the program "Moving forward with Vietnam"

On the morning of August 16, for the first time, a walking activity took place simultaneously in 34 provinces and cities with 3,321 communes, wards and administrative zones nationwide.

In Ho Chi Minh City, about 3,000 police officers and soldiers along with a large number of people in the city actively responded to the walking program "Moving forward with Vietnam" with the main message "1 billion steps into the new era" nationwide, with many meaningful activities in an exciting and proud atmosphere.

On this occasion, the red flags with yellow stars were worn by officers, soldiers and people; the heroic and sacred melody of the National Anthem resounded in unison; strong and confident footsteps accompanied each other towards a bright future... All were directed towards a united, powerful and sustainable Vietnam.

By ensuring 100% of subordinate units participate in this practical activity, the collective of officers and soldiers of Ho Chi Minh City Police continue to strongly demonstrate patriotism, responsibility for environmental protection, and the spirit of consciously exercising the body following the example of great Uncle Ho with the motto of being healthy to build and protect the Fatherland.

In An Giang , responding to the walking program "Moving forward with Vietnam", there were 102 communes, wards, special zones and tens of thousands of people walking to participate in this program. Starting from Tran Quang Khai Square, Rach Gia Ward, tens of thousands of steps walked from Ton Duc Thang Street to Hoang Van Thu Street and returned to the finish line at Tran Quang Khai Square with a walking distance of about 2,000m to 3,000m.

More than 5,000 people gathered at Tran Quang Khai Square, Rach Gia ward to watch the national flag raising ceremony, sing the national anthem, and move forward together for a united, strong, and sustainable Vietnam.

The activity “Moving forward with Vietnam” carries the message “1 billion steps into the new era” - a practical activity demonstrating patriotism, reducing carbon emissions and moving towards the national Net Zero goal. This is also a community activity of unprecedented scale and significance, taking place at a special moment when the whole country is entering a new development stage along with the rearrangement of administrative units. Each locality contributes its strength to join the same great goal: for a united, strong Vietnam, ready to step forward into a new era - the era of national aspirations, of the spirit of moving forward for a powerful future.

After the launching program, thousands of people started walking a distance of 3km.

The event not only demonstrates patriotism and solidarity but also affirms the role of the People's Public Security Forces in linking the work of ensuring security and order with sustainable social development, building a movement of the entire people to protect national security.

In Lao Cai : At exactly 6:00 a.m., more than 5,000 people including police officers, civil servants, officials, youth union members, students and a large number of people gathered at 19/8 Square (Yen Bai ward, Lao Cai province) wearing red shirts with yellow stars, singing the national anthem and marching together for a united, strong and sustainable Vietnam.

The program opened with a ceremony to relay the National Flag Raising Ceremony from Ba Dinh Square, salute the flag, sing the National Anthem and give a speech.

More than 5,000 people including police officers, civil servants, public employees, youth union members, students and a large number of people walked in response to the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam".

Next, the delegates and people walked starting from 19/8 Square, then the group walked on Nguyen Tat Thanh - Nguyen Quang Bich - Luong Yen street and returned to the starting point.

In addition to the main point at 19/8 Square, simultaneously in 95 communes and wards in Lao Cai province, activities also took place in response to the program "Moving Forward with Vietnam".
