In order to support businesses in the food and beverage industry and services of Vietnam, from September 11-14, the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia had a booth to display, introduce, promote and invite product trials, helping to connect with international partners at the Fine Food Australia 2023 event held at the International Exhibition Center ICC in Sydney.

As the leading international trade event for the food industry, held annually and having been held for the past 38 years, Fine Food Australia 2023 showcases food and beverages from across Australia and the world , bringing together thousands of businesses and hundreds of professionals in the food and beverage industry, hotels and restaurants, manufacturers, exporters, importers, wholesalers, retailers, buyers and service providers...

Speaking to a VNA reporter in Sydney, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa, Head of the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia, said that more than 20,000 importers and managers of supermarket chains and stores visited and learned about products during the fair.

At this year's fair, in addition to promoting and introducing many industries and products of Vietnamese food and beverage technology, especially coconut water products and the event of trying Vietnamese coconut water has attracted attention and received very positive feedback.

This is an item that the Trade Office has persistently promoted for many years and has achieved encouraging results so far.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa said that the Vietnamese Trade Office in Australia focuses on canned coconut water products because of their convenience in transportation and suitability for modern life in Australia.

Currently, consumers have the opportunity to enjoy many “product of Vietnam” coconut water brands at major supermarket chains in this Oceania country such as Coles and Harris Farm.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa said that in 2023, the Trade Office will participate in many international exhibitions.

In the near future, the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia will also participate in textile and fashion exhibitions, energy exhibitions and organize "Vietnamese Goods Week."

In the context of the need to promote export activities facing common difficulties, the fact that the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia has a booth to introduce and promote Vietnamese products at Australia's leading international exhibitions is very practical and highly effective in supporting Vietnamese goods to reach importers and distributors in the market.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoa also hopes that at upcoming events, Vietnamese businesses can inform the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia to create a stronger influence.

As the person directly responsible for arranging, introducing and promoting Vietnam's booth at the fair, Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong, Consul of Trade and Commerce of Vietnam in Australia, said that in addition to the key products of coconut water, the booth of the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia also displayed a number of other Vietnamese products, from fresh products such as longan, dragon fruit, to processed products such as coffee, tea, instant noodles, rice, seafood products such as shrimp, fish and some products such as chopsticks, spoons, wooden spoons that are very eye-catching and unique...

Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong expressed her excitement when the booth of the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia attracted the attention of many visitors as well as importers and distributors at the event.

She shared that the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia wants to promote, build brands, and create more added value for Vietnamese products in the Australian market, and hopes to find more partners from Australia to sign contracts and create added value and export more Vietnamese products to the market of this Oceanian country.

In addition, the booth of the Vietnam Trade Office in Australia is also ready to provide foreign partners with information about Vietnamese enterprises such as Vinamilk , Orgalife Nutritional Science, Nam Viet Food, Bao Hung, Anh Kim, Global Mind Agriculture Vietnam, Foodeli, MD Queens..., import-export enterprises such as Lien Hanh Company, The Bliss Farmer Company, Bao Minh Company...

After enjoying Vietnam's signature coconut water product, many Australian and international customers expressed their interest, satisfaction and desire to learn more about this product.

Ms. Anita, a hospitality professional working for the Continental Hotel, said this was the first time she had tried Vietnamese coconut water and found it to be wonderful, with a natural sweetness and a mild aroma. She was delighted that she could easily find coconut water and some Vietnamese products right in Sydney.

Meanwhile, Ms. Kim Staple, a resident of Sydney, believes that coconut water is a very healthy drink. After being invited to enjoy a glass of coconut water, she commented that “Vietnamese coconut water is very delicious, not too sweet, has a very special taste and is worth trying.”

In addition, she said she really likes the vibrancy and richness of Vietnamese products.

Not only expressing satisfaction and delight at enjoying the drink that is considered “quite special, pure and clean,” Mr. Daksh, an Indian visitor, said that Vietnamese fruits and vegetables generally have a very delicious taste and “eye-catching” colors, such as longan and dragon fruit introduced at the fair.

Representing the businesses participating in the fair, Mr. Vo Trung Hieu, Director of International Business of Vinamilk, assessed that the visitors to the fair are very potential. By participating in the fair, Vietnamese businesses have the opportunity to meet many buyers, representatives of supermarkets, and retail chains looking for partners.

He said that Vietnam has signed many trade agreements with partners and this makes many buyers look for products “Made in Vietnam.”

He considered this an advantage for Vietnam in general and Vinamilk in particular, and hoped that Vietnamese enterprises would have the opportunity to continue to promote the export of goods to this Oceania region.

Meanwhile, sharing with VNA reporters in Sydney, Mr. Tristan Tran, a distribution partner of Vinamilk Company in Australia, excitedly said that the steady increase in sales of Vietnamese products shows that Australian consumers have great trust in products from the "S-shaped country."

Fine Food Australia 2023 is a very effective and practical opportunity for Vietnamese agricultural producers to have an overview of the Australian and world food markets.

It is also a place for businessmen and representatives of Vietnamese and foreign enterprises to directly participate in specialized seminars and listen to prestigious experts in the industry share experiences, knowledge and update market trends, new regulations on food preservation, origin and cultivation and exploitation processes./.
