How to register for an e-wallet on VNeID to pay for public services.
Citizens with Level 2 identification can register for an e-wallet linked to VNeID to conveniently and quickly pay for public services online.

Currently, payment methods for public services are becoming increasingly diverse and convenient. Besides existing online payment channels such as the National Public Service Portal (https://dichvucong.gov.vn) and the public service portals of ministries/agencies/local authorities where people live, citizens can also make online payments directly through the VNeID application.
This is a mobile application developed by the National Population Data Center of the Ministry of Public Security . VNeID was created with the aim of replacing traditional paper documents, in the context of the State's emphasis on reducing compliance costs and processing time, creating convenience and providing the best service for citizens and businesses.
Citizens can open an e-wallet on VNeID using their state-recognized personal identification. This registration aims to create a safe and transparent digital payment ecosystem for paying traffic fines, personal taxes, tuition fees, hospital fees, insurance, etc., without needing cash or going directly to the relevant authorities.
How to register for an e-wallet on VNeID
Step 1: Install or update the VNeID application on your phone to the latest version via CH Play (Android) or App Store. Note: Absolutely do not install the application through unfamiliar links or APK files to avoid losing data and bank account information.

To use the app's features, users need to activate their VNeID account at level 2. Once completed, they can log in using their Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) and the generated password.
Step 2: On the main interface, find the "Service Groups" section, select "Other Services" with the star logo underlined below it. Then, click on "Electronic Wallet Services" at the bottom of the screen and enter your passcode.

Step 3: Select “Register e-wallet”, then continue by selecting the “Register e-wallet” button in the red box. Currently, EPAY and GTELPAY e-wallets can be registered on VNeID.
Note: Users cannot create a new wallet registration request while an existing e-wallet registration request is being processed or a previous e-wallet has already been successfully opened.

Step 4: After selecting the e-wallet you want to use, VNeID will redirect you to the App Store or CH Play to download the corresponding application. The system will automatically fill in the identification information for the e-wallet; users only need to provide facial recognition as requested and create a password. The VNeID system will then display the request history, as well as the e-wallet linking status.
