Vehicles banned from crossing Hoa An bridge connecting Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong on New Year's Eve

On February 9, the Department of Transport of Dong Nai province announced that from 10pm today, cars from all directions will be banned from crossing Hoa An bridge over Dong Nai river. By 11pm, all vehicles from all directions will be banned from crossing Hoa An bridge and pedestrians will be banned from crossing the bridge.

The move was made by the government in a traffic diversion plan to serve the fireworks display right on the bridge on New Year's Eve to welcome the New Year of the Dragon 2024.

Hoa An Bridge is located on National Highway 1K, an important gateway from Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong to Bien Hoa City, often crowded with traffic.

According to the instructions of the Department of Transport of Dong Nai province, during the car ban period, vehicles going from Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong province to Dong Nai can follow the alternative route: Nguyen Ai Quoc street (at the Cau Hang roundabout) - Nguyen Thi Ton - Dang Van Tron; or Nguyen Ai Quoc street (at the Cau Hang roundabout) - Nguyen Tri Phuong - Dang Van Tron.

From Dong Nai center to Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong, follow the directions of Nguyen Ai Quoc - Phan Dinh Phung - Hung Dao Vuong - Ha Huy Giap - Dang Van Tron - Nguyen Tri Phuong (or Nguyen Thi Ton) - Nguyen Ai Quoc (at the roundabout of Cau Hang, Buu Hoa ward).

Previously, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province decided to replace the fireworks display location in Bien Hoa city from the provincial stadium to Hoa An bridge. In addition to Bien Hoa, this year Dong Nai province will organize high-altitude fireworks displays in Long Khanh city and Xuan Loc district for about 15 minutes to welcome the new year.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, on New Year's Eve this year, Vung Tau city has 2 high-altitude fireworks display locations: Front Beach area (opposite the Revolutionary Traditional House, No. 1 Ba Cu, Ward 1) and Bau Trung lake area, Nguyen An Ninh ward.
