Hai Duong Department of Construction announced that from April 29, 2025, trucks with 3 or more axles will be banned from traveling from National Highway 5 to Provincial Road 389 (Lai Khe Commune, Kim Thanh) from 6:00 to 8:00 a.m. and from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. every day.
The Department of Construction requests Hai Duong Road Bridge Joint Stock Company under the Road - Viet Thanh Joint Venture to install a signaling system according to national technical standards on road signaling. The completion time is before 12:00 on April 28, 2025.
The Management Board of Traffic Infrastructure and Maintenance Projects inspects and supervises the implementation in accordance with regulations; at the same time, monitors and evaluates the traffic situation in the area and considers appropriate adjustments (if necessary), after organizing the installation of prohibition signs.
Road Management Area I, Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Joint Stock Company (VIDIFI) coordinated with units under the Department of Construction to install warning and guidance signs at appropriate locations on National Highway 5, ensuring compliance with regulations on road traffic signs.
Kim Thanh District People's Committee organizes propaganda and dissemination of the above traffic ban plan on mass media, aiming to create consensus and raise awareness of compliance among people and businesses.
Recently, National Highway 5 through Lai Khe and Kim Thanh communes (turn to Provincial Road 389) has often experienced traffic jams, causing difficulties for vehicles, especially during rush hours from 6-8am and from 4-6pm every day.
Traffic diversion and banning trucks with three or more axles from entering provincial road 389 from National Highway 5 during rush hour will help reduce congestion.
