Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen has instructed the APSARA Authority, which is responsible for managing the Angkor Wat complex, to implement the directive. This policy will not apply to fans.

On the same day, speaking at the graduation ceremony of more than 3,000 students from the Royal University of Agriculture , Prek Leap National College of Agriculture and Kampong Cham National Institute of Agriculture in the capital Phnom Penh, Prime Minister Hun Sen thanked Southeast Asian countries for supporting Cambodia and sending sports delegations to attend the 32nd SEA Games.

He emphasized that Cambodia had successfully hosted the 32nd SEA Games, not focusing too much on the results of each competition but on showing the hospitality and joy of the members of the sports delegations attending the Games. Prime Minister Hun Sen affirmed that this would be a valuable legacy for future generations of Cambodia.

Previously, the host country Cambodia decided to cover the accommodation and food costs for members of foreign sports delegations, introduced a “free entry” policy for the public to attend the opening and closing ceremonies and regional sports competitions, as well as provide live broadcasting rights to all domestic and foreign media partners for the 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games.

The 32nd SEA Games is a regional sporting event hosted by Cambodia for the first time, attracting more than 12,400 members of sports delegations from member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Timor Leste to compete in 37 sports including 581 events.

With the slogan "Sports - Living in Peace," the 32nd SEA Games took place from May 5-17 at many stadiums and competition areas in the capital Phnom Penh and the provinces of Siem Reap, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot and Kep.

Angkor Wat is located in the Angkor Temple Complex (recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization as a World Cultural Heritage in 1992), located about 6 km north of Siem Reap, Cambodia, built by King Suryavarman II in the first half of the 12th century with an area of over 248 square miles (400 km2), surrounding the temple is a deep and wide moat.

Initially, Angkor Wat was designed and built to worship Hinduism, but later due to the introduction and strong development of Buddhism, Angkor Wat switched to worshiping Buddhism.

The Angkor Temple Complex has over 1,000 temples of different sizes and shapes, bearing the ancient Khmer architectural style with a unique ancient architecture and sculpture. The towers, temples, reliefs and immense corridors are all made of stone blocks, stacked on top of each other very naturally and the motifs on them such as Buddha statues, dancers, warriors, lotus flowers... vividly and softly illustrate the epics Ramayana and Mahabharata.

The famous temples of the Complex are Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, Bayon temple...

Angkor Wat Temple with 5 giant towers is the most magnificent temple in the entire Angkor complex with the main entrance facing the west, facing the setting sun.

Angkor Wat Temple has 398 rooms, connected by 1,500m of corridors. Above, 5 towers are connected by 3 architectural floors, of which the tallest tower is up to 65m, 4 sub-towers are 40m high. The road leading to the main gate of Angkor Wat is also made of stone blocks, 230m long, nearly 10m wide and 5m high above the lake surface on both sides.

The entire temple complex still preserves ancient Khmer architectural and stone carving art with giant relief panels, columns, doors, ceilings, walls, corridors, railings, domes...
