Following the Volkswagen ID Polo and Cupra Raval, another brand belonging to the Volkswagen Group has officially joined the trend of developing small electric vehicles. Specifically, Skoda has just launched a small electric crossover called the Epiq.

This is the smallest and most accessible model in the company's electrified product line. In some European markets, the Epiq starts at around 26,000 euros (under 800 million VND). According to Motor1 and Carscoops , this is an affordable price.
The Epiq also marks Skoda's first model to fully adopt the new "Modern Solid" design language. It features distinctive T-shaped headlights and taillights, combined with a compact crossover styling.

The Skoda Epiq measures 4,171 mm in length, 1,798 mm in width, and 1,581 mm in height, while its wheelbase reaches 2,601 mm thanks to the use of a dedicated electric vehicle platform.
Unlike many modern electric vehicles that use hidden door handles to optimize aerodynamics, Skoda retains a traditional door handle design. Even so, the Epiq still achieves a drag coefficient of 0.275 thanks to its active air vents at the front and aerodynamic wheels ranging in size from 17-19 inches.

The interior combines modern styling with traditional physical buttons. Standard features include a 5.3-inch digital instrument panel and a 13-inch central infotainment screen. Higher trim levels add ambient interior lighting, and soft-touch materials on the dashboard and door panels.

Despite being a small electric vehicle, the Epiq still boasts a fairly good luggage compartment with a capacity of 475 liters. When the rear seats are folded down, the storage volume increases to 1,344 liters. In addition, the car also has a small storage compartment in the front for charging cables.

The Epiq is Skoda's first commercial vehicle to use the new MEB+ platform, developed specifically for front-wheel-drive electric vehicles.

The vehicle comes with three electric motor configurations, delivering 114 horsepower, 133 horsepower, and 208 horsepower respectively. The top-of-the-line version uses a 51.7 kWh NMC battery, providing a maximum range of approximately 440 km per charge. The other two versions use a 37 kWh LFP battery with a range of approximately 310 km.

Skoda states that the larger battery version supports DC fast charging with a maximum power of 125 kW, allowing it to charge from 10-80% in approximately 24 minutes. Meanwhile, the LFP battery version supports fast charging up to 90 kW and takes about 28 minutes to reach the same battery level.

Initially, Skoda also offered a special Epiq First Edition version using the engine and battery configuration of the top-of-the-line Epiq 55. This version featured several distinctive touches including: two-tone paint (black roof), Navajo orange accents on the front and rear bumpers, 20-inch alloy wheels, a three-spoke sports steering wheel with red stitching, and orange seat belts.

In Vietnam, Skoda, through a joint venture with TC Group, plans to begin producing electric vehicles at its Thanh Cong Viet Hung factory ( Quang Ninh province) from 2026. The first model expected to launch will be the Enyaq, while the Elroq may be introduced later.
