The event attracted the participation of many experts, scientists , businesses and representatives of professional organizations in the construction sector in the Southern region.
Representative of the organizing committee, Dr. Ta Ngoc Binh (Institute of Construction Economics - Ministry of Construction ) informed that BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a model of applying information technology in construction management, helping to digitize all construction information through three-dimensional (3D) models. BIM not only supports design, construction, and operation but also helps to detect technical conflicts early, save costs and time, and at the same time create a shared database, serving many construction management and development goals.

Many delegates visited and learned about products and models at the Workshop. |
At the workshop, experts commented that the BIM model clearly overcomes the limitations of traditional 2D drawings, especially in multi-disciplinary coordination and control of changes during construction. The transition to BIM helps increase interaction, transparency and efficiency throughout the project life cycle.
Currently, many localities, including Can Tho city, are gradually implementing BIM in public investment projects, key infrastructure, urban and industrial areas. The application of this model is not only in line with technological trends but also contributes to realizing the goals of Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on the development of Can Tho city to 2030, with a vision to 2045, building Can Tho into a dynamic center of the Mekong Delta region.
