On February 23, Cai Lan International Container Terminal Company Limited (CICT) welcomed the first ship of ZIM shipping line transporting goods on the ZIM Ecommerce Xpress (ZEX) maritime service route.
According to information from the authorities of Quang Ninh province, at 5:00 a.m. this morning (February 23), the first ship of ZIM company arrived at CICT Cai Lan port in Ha Long city (Quang Ninh).
This is a ship named Seaspan Kobe with a length of 296m, a tonnage of nearly 60 DWT, transporting 953 containers.
The ship carrying 953 containers docked at Cai Lan port on the morning of February 23.
A representative of ZIM Shipping Company said that this is a service route that allows connecting goods from Northern Vietnam to the West Coast of the United States with the fastest schedule on the market, with a voyage time of only about 16 days.
The ZIM Ecommerce Xpress (ZEX) service route has a schedule connecting CICT Cai Lan Port - Diem Dien Port (China) - Los Angeles Port (USA) - CICT Cai Lan Port.
Cai Lan Port ensures good conditions for major shipping lines in the world to handle goods.
According to plan, every Friday, ZIM will bring another container ship to CICT Cai Lan port.
ZIM is known as one of the largest shipping lines in the world with a shipping service network connecting import-export businesses to major and strategic ports around the world.
