On February 5, the People's Committee of Kon Tum province said it had issued an official dispatch directing Dak Ha district to strictly handle two households that arbitrarily leveled and encroached on the Ho Chi Minh road corridor.
Previously, in November 2024, Road Management Office III.4 (Road Zone III) discovered that two households in Dak Ha district (Kon Tum province) arbitrarily dumped soil to fill the ground and encroach on the Ho Chi Minh road corridor through this district.

Specifically, Mr. Ha Trong Dong and Mr. Tran Bao Khanh, both residing in Dak La commune (Dak Ha), violated the road traffic infrastructure. Mr. Dong arbitrarily hired machinery to dump soil and level the ground in the road safety corridor at Km 1536+20, which was on the wrong side of the route. In addition, Mr. Khanh also arbitrarily dumped soil and leveled the ground in the road safety corridor and installed a culvert connecting to the horizontal drainage culvert of Ho Chi Minh road at Km 1536+08, which was on the wrong side of the route.
According to the Road Management Office III.4, upon inspection, these households said they had hired trucks and bulldozers to dump and level the ground within the road safety corridor with a fairly large volume and stretching dozens of meters along the roadside.
After discovering the incident, the unit sent many documents to the People's Committee of Dak La commune and Dak Ha district requesting direction to prevent and handle the incident. However, the above situation has not been prevented and handled in a timely manner, households deliberately violated the law on management and protection of road traffic infrastructure.
Faced with the above situation, Road Management Area III sent a document requesting the Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee to direct the Dak Ha District People's Committee and relevant agencies to urgently handle the violations of the two households.
Immediately after receiving the above request, Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee requested Dak Ha District People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to review, inspect and thoroughly handle violations and report to the Provincial People's Committee.
