Reviewing the progress of two tourism projects in the Chua Chan mountain area and Tan Phu protective forest.

(Dong Nai) - On the morning of December 12, Mr. Le Truong Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, chaired a working session with departments, agencies, and localities to hear reports on the progress and results of implementing the conclusions of the Chua Chan Mountain Eco-tourism, Resort and Entertainment Area Project; the Nui Le Lake Urban Area Project (Chua Chan Mountain Project, Xuan Loc commune); and the Eco-tourism, Resort and Entertainment Investment Project in the leased forest area under the Tan Phu Protective Forest Management Board (Tan Phu Protective Forest Project, Dinh Quan commune).

Reporting on the progress of the Nui Chua Chan - Nui Le Lake Urban Area Project, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vu Xuan Truong stated: Thanks to the attention of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and relevant departments, agencies, and localities, the progress of the Nui Chua Chan Project has been accelerated. Currently, procedures for environmental impact assessment (EIA) and construction permits are being prepared, thus completing the investment procedures. The project is expected to commence in the first quarter of 2026.

In addition, the implementation of directives from Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son regarding the project and the results of the assigned agencies' implementation, including: determining the lead agency for preparing the environmental impact assessment report of the project; the model for managing and protecting forests on Chua Chan Mountain; the liquidation of planted forests in the project area; and the collection of community opinions on the detailed construction plan at a scale of 1/500 for the area on the summit of Chua Chan Mountain and the Nui Le Lake urban area, as well as other related issues, are currently being carried out by relevant departments, sectors, and localities to ensure timely progress.

Regarding the Tourism Project at Tan Phu Forest Protection Area: To date, the adjustment and supplementation of the Ecotourism, Resort, and Entertainment Project for the period 2021-2030 at the Tan Phu Forest Protection Area Management Board, as well as issues related to mineral planning in the hot spring area and the review of the content regarding the development of a public asset utilization plan; relocation support; procedures for leasing forest land, etc., have been carried out by relevant departments, agencies, and localities to accelerate progress.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son highly appreciated the efforts of Xuan Loc commune in implementing the procedures for the Chua Chan Mountain Project, ensuring the best preparation steps and meeting the planned commencement date of early 2026. According to the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, this is a large-scale project that will elevate tourism in Dong Nai province , so more effort is needed to avoid minor obstacles affecting the progress and delaying the project.

Regarding the tourism project at Tan Phu Reservoir, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Tan Phu Reservoir Management Board to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to continue implementing the procedures according to regulations. The relevant units and departments should pay attention to the planning of the hot spring area, which is a rare source of hot mineral water but has not been exploited to its full potential. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to proactively prepare the procedures to request approval for the construction of an international-class hot mineral spring area, and to incorporate this into the provincial planning adjustments.
