Cat Bi International Airport welcomes first flight from Lijiang (China)

According to Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Khac Nam, opening new flight routes to and from Cat Bi International Airport from foreign localities is a policy of Hai Phong City, which has important significance in economic development, trade, tourism... The Hai Phong - Lijiang flight route officially put into operation not only contributes to promoting the common development of the two localities, enhancing exchange and understanding, but also meets the needs of trade exchange of both sides, as well as travel of city residents and investors from China.

Before welcoming this first flight, Hai Phong City People's Committee had a working session with the delegation of Yunnan Tongdian Air Travel Company about opening the Hai Phong - Lijiang flight route.

Mr. Ho Trieu Tru, General Director of Yunnan Tongdian Air Travel Company, said: The company plans to operate 3 flights from Hai Phong to Lijiang every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, from June 15, 2024 to June 14, 2025. The first flight will be held on June 15, 2024. The company hopes that Hai Phong City will support the cost of opening a new flight route according to regulations, support propaganda about the opening of this flight route, and at the same time strengthen connections between businesses to develop the tourism route between Lijiang and Hai Phong.
