President Pezeshkian affirmed that Iran is ready to resume negotiations with the US. However, he stressed that Tehran will continue to “assert its legitimate right” to use atomic energy for peaceful purposes.
Earlier the same day, in a phone call with President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Mr. Pezeshkian affirmed that Iran is ready to resolve issues "within the international framework and at the negotiating table."
He also said Tehran is working to promote peace in the region, considering it a foundation for accelerating development.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country's military campaign had achieved its key goal of stopping Iran's nuclear program.
In a speech to the nation, Prime Minister Netanyahu affirmed that Israel will resolutely prevent any efforts to rebuild Tehran's nuclear capabilities.
Earlier, the Israeli military announced that its airstrikes had delayed Iran's nuclear bomb plans by "many years" and that Israel's military campaign in the Islamic Republic was now "entering a new phase."
Israel and Iran have agreed on a ceasefire agreement that will officially take effect at 7am on June 24 (Israel time). Accordingly, Iran will immediately stop attacks, while Israel will join the ceasefire 12 hours after the agreement begins./.
