(NLĐO) - A female elementary school teacher in Thanh Hoa has been disciplined and transferred to clerical work after allegedly beating a student, leaving bruises on their back.
On the morning of December 31st, news from Ba Dinh Primary School in Bim Son town, Thanh Hoa province, indicated that the People's Committee of Bim Son town had issued a disciplinary warning against teacher Vo Thi Tam for physically assaulting a student during class.
The school where the incident of a teacher hitting a student occurred.
In addition to receiving a disciplinary warning, the female teacher was reassigned to clerical work at the school and was no longer assigned to teach classes.
Previously, the family of TPN (6 years old, a student at Ba Dinh Primary School) discovered bruises on their daughter's back and scratches on her ear. Upon questioning, the family learned that N. had been hit and had her ear pulled multiple times by her teacher, Vo Thi Tam, right in the classroom.
Following the incident, N.'s family filed a complaint alleging that teacher Tâm had physically assaulted their child and other students at the school. Notably, according to the parents' complaint, the assaults have been occurring from last year to this year.
Shortly afterward, Ms. Tâm was temporarily suspended from teaching, reassigned to clerical work, and prohibited from teaching in the classroom.
