"Favorable weather conditions and close monitoring of the planting schedule mean that this year, the Tam Coc rice fields will ripen evenly and beautifully in time for the Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023," - This is the assessment of agricultural officials and rice farmers in the Tam Coc area, Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district. Observations show that, at this time, the Tam Coc rice fields are developing very well, uniformly, and according to the planned planting schedule.

Ms. Bui Thi Kiem, representative of Van Lam Agricultural Cooperative, said: "With the guidance and support of the agricultural sector and the local authorities, we have urged our cooperative members to regularly monitor and closely follow the growth of the rice plants. Currently, the rice is in the ripening stage. If the weather remains favorable, by the end of May, the rice will ripen evenly and beautifully."

In the fields of Hang 2 area, where the outdoor stage for the opening ceremony of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2023 will take place, the rice plants are being meticulously and carefully tended by the local people. Under the early summer sun, the "Carp Gazing at the Moon" scene is depicted more vividly and artistically each day.

Mr. Hoang Thanh Phong, Director of Tam Coc - Bich Dong Tourist Area, informed: With the desire to make "The Golden Colors of Tam Coc" a recognizable brand of Ninh Binh tourism, the Management Board of the Tourist Area has continuously researched, innovated, and created ideas. In 2022, the festival flag bore the inscription "The Golden Colors of Tam Coc". This year, it is a folk painting, depicting two carp frolicking under the moonlight, surrounded by lotus flowers and rippling water.

The unit aims to develop a new tourism product each year, giving visitors the opportunity to explore, experience, and admire the unique beauty of the rice paddies. The long-term goal is to create a Tam Coc image that reflects all four seasons, each with its own distinctive character.

With the help of agricultural officials and the hard work and dedication of each local resident, the Tam Coc rice fields are now developing very favorably, divided into two distinct rice paddies. During the Ninh Binh Tourism Week, the landscape will be adorned with two main colors. The dominant color will be yellow; in addition, details such as carp and lotus flowers will be highlighted by green rice. Currently, the Management Board is actively coordinating with local farmers to trim and shape the rice plants to create a beautiful and impressive landscape.

According to Mr. Phong, to ensure the Ninh Binh Tourism Week is a success and makes a strong impression, the tourism management board is actively upgrading facilities, preparing well the conditions for docks, personnel, and boat drivers; at the same time, coordinating with local authorities to promote a cultured and civilized tourism lifestyle among the people, ensuring safe, thoughtful, attractive, and impressive hospitality for visitors.

Ninh Binh Tourism Week is held around mid-May to June every year. At this time, the rice in Tam Coc is ripe and golden, the water is clear and blue, and the sky is bathed in sunlight above the high mountain peaks. All of this creates a picturesque and poetic landscape unlike anywhere else.

This year, despite the complicated and unfavorable weather at the beginning of the season, thanks to the determination of businesses and localities, and the diligence and hard work of the people, the Tam Coc rice fields are currently developing uniformly. The fields promise to ripen to a beautiful golden color during the upcoming Ninh Binh Tourism Week. Ninh Binh Tourism Week will take place from May 27th to June 4th. At this year's event, visitors will have the opportunity to participate in many unique activities such as strolling along the pedestrian street, viewing and introducing local specialties; enjoying cultural and artistic programs; and especially admiring the unique "Carp Gazing at the Moon" rice field painting created by the hands and creativity of the local people.
