The cultural beauty and people of A Luoi through sketches attract viewers

“Traditional cultural identity of A Luoi” is the theme of the exhibition organized by the Hue Museum of Fine Arts, opening on the afternoon of November 28 at Diem Phung Thi Art Center (17 Le Loi, Thuan Hoa district).

The exhibition displays nearly 150 sketches from the collection of the Hue Museum of Fine Arts. These works are the “products” of the sketch program “Sketch Journey of A Luoi Traditional Cultural Beauty” taking place in 2023 and 2025.

Each work is a vivid story about the land located in the West of Hue City. There we can encounter traditional architectural works, poetic landscapes, unique cuisine or the daily beauty of the people...

The exhibition also has a space to display, introduce and promote the Deng weaving craft and traditional costumes of ethnic minorities in A Luoi. In addition, some handicraft products from wood carving, pottery, weaving, etc. are also introduced to the public on this occasion.

In addition, Hue Museum of Fine Arts collaborated with designer Viet Bao to display and perform a collection of ao dai and costumes using the background of some sketches about A Luoi.

Ms. Dinh Thi Hoai Trai, Director of Hue Fine Arts Museum, hopes that through the exhibition, it will bring meaningful experiences to the public and together spread awareness of preserving and promoting the cultural identity of tangible and intangible heritage of ethnic minorities in A Luoi.

The exhibition runs until December 12.
