At around 4:03 p.m. on August 2, a fire broke out at house number 16B, lane 220, Bac Cau street, Bo De ward, Hanoi . Upon receiving the news, the Hanoi City Police Command Information Center dispatched Fire Fighting and Rescue Teams of Areas 01 and 18 - Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to dispatch 3 fire trucks, 1 tanker truck, and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to organize fire fighting and rescue.

The house on fire has 3 floors, 1 attic, an area of about 35 square meters, located in a deep alley, about 200 meters from the main road.
Upon arriving at the scene, through reconnaissance information, it was determined that the fire started on the first floor and that there were still people trapped in the fire. The Fire Commander quickly directed the officers and soldiers to bring personal protective equipment and breathing apparatus to coordinate with the Bo De Ward Police and the people to exploit the access positions, move to the upper floors to search and rescue people still trapped in the fire. Along with that, the Fire Commander also quickly directed the deployment of the fire fighting team to prevent the fire from spreading to the upper floors of the house.

After a period of fire fighting and search and rescue efforts, at about 4:20 p.m., the fire was completely extinguished. The Fire Police and Rescue Force promptly brought the 3 victims (children of the homeowner) trapped on the 2nd floor of the house down the stairs to a safe area, and handed them over to the medical team for emergency treatment (currently the health of the 3 victims is stable).
The cause of the fire is being further investigated by authorities in accordance with the provisions of law.
