On September 18, Project Management Board 7 ( Ministry of Construction ) informed that Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet Expressway (section passing through Lam Dong province) is temporarily closed in rotation to construct works and technical infrastructure of the traffic monitoring and control system of the Vinh Hao-Phan Thiet section construction investment component project.
According to Project Management Board 7, the camera system for monitoring, traffic control , non-stop electronic toll collection and vehicle weight control will be put into operation in December 2025. On average, there will be one surveillance camera every 2km.
Accordingly, the construction section from Km134 to Km235 will last from September 18 to September 20. In case of heavy traffic on weekends, construction will be stopped.
The construction units will install the gantry brackets from 7am to 5pm. The gantry brackets are a frame to install traffic cameras and electronic boards on the highway. Due to the large support bar, the unit must use a crane in the middle of the road to lift it up, so the construction site must be temporarily suspended to ensure traffic safety.
On September 18, the construction unit at Phan Thiet intersection (Km234) to National Highway 28 intersection (Km208). At Phan Thiet intersection, the road section in the south-north direction will be temporarily closed, vehicles will exit the expressway at Ba Bau intersection, onto National Highway 1. At National Highway 28 intersection, the north-south direction will be temporarily closed, vehicles will be directed to National Highway 28, go to National Highway 1 and re-enter the expressway at Ba Bau intersection.
Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 6 (Department 6, Traffic Police Department) and road patrol units stand at intersections to regulate traffic.
