Quang Tin discusses solutions to speed up the progress of investment projects

Stakeholders met to discuss solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles for investment projects in Quang Tin commune (Lam Dong).

On the afternoon of September 22, the People's Committee of Quang Tin commune coordinated with the Department of Construction, the Investment Project Management Board of Area 3, and the Construction Investment Project Management Board of Dak R'lap area to hold a meeting to discuss and resolve difficulties and problems for two major projects being implemented in the area.

Quang Tin Commune People's Committee coordinated with relevant parties to remove obstacles to the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project.

Specifically, for the Project to renovate and upgrade Provincial Road 5, approved by the People's Committee of Dak Nong province (old) in Decision No. 1996/QD-UBND dated November 19, 2021. The project has a total investment of 190 billion VND from the central budget, is implemented through Quang Tin commune and is expected to be completed in December 2025.

Provincial Road 5 passing through Quang Tin commune is under slow construction, affecting people's lives.

Currently, the project volume value of the section passing through Quang Tin commune has been completed by about 55%; of which, the delay is about 3km/13.5km.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Tin commune, in the past, the investor and the construction unit have not focused resources to speed up the construction progress of drainage works on the route, including: Bridges, culverts and longitudinal ditches. This has led to the impact on the general drainage system of the area. The flow is obstructed, causing flooding to spread to residential areas and agricultural land and aquaculture land.

Many fish ponds were flooded and fish drifted into the natural environment, most commonly at Vu Phong bridge. The Commune People's Committee requested relevant parties and investors to speed up construction progress and promptly pay compensation for site clearance to local people.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tin Commune, Nguyen Van Sang, said that the locality is having difficulty in clearly determining the area for the dumping site within the total planned area of ​​77.5 hectares of the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project.

For the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project, the section passing through Quang Tin Commune has a route length of about 16.6km. The compensation and site clearance area for the main route and the service road is about 175ha, the whole commune will have about 384 households affected.

Currently, the commune still faces some difficulties and problems related to choosing specific locations and resettlement areas in accordance with regulations. Quang Tin also faces difficulties in clearly determining the area for the landfill within the total planned area of ​​77.5 hectares.

Mr. Phan Nhat Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, said that the locality and relevant parties need to have specific commitments to ensure the progress of the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Phan Nhat Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, highly appreciated the initiative of the People's Committee of Quang Tin commune in coordinating with relevant parties to remove difficulties and obstacles, promoting the progress of major projects in the area.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Construction said that Quang Tin should retain the resettlement areas whose boundaries were previously determined. At the same time, integrate these areas into residential areas and points into the new general planning of the commune.

The commune will soon coordinate with relevant parties to deploy coordination regulations, assess responsibilities, progress, and commit to specific work efficiency for each project, especially for handing over the site to the contractor for the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project through Quang Tin commune.

Quang Tin Commune actively mobilized people to support the handover of land to serve the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project through the area.

Localities should further enhance their responsibility in propagating and mobilizing people to set up markers, count and take the next steps to serve the project.
