Today, March 16th, information from the Military-Civilian Medical Center of Con Co Island District indicates that the unit has successfully received and treated a fisherman who suffered a serious neck injury while fishing near Con Co Island.

Accordingly, at 9:00 AM on March 16th, the Military-Civilian Medical Center of Con Co Island District received patient Ho Van Hung, born in 1984, from Duc Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, a fisherman on fishing vessel QB-92005 TS captained by Mr. Ho Van Hon, for emergency treatment. Mr. Hung was admitted in a state of shock, with pale mucous membranes and a 10 cm wound on the left side of his neck.

Upon receiving the patient, the doctors and nurses at the center provided emergency care, including debridement, suturing, and wound cleaning. Thanks to timely emergency treatment, the patient's health and spirits are now stable, and they are continuing to be monitored at the center. Without prompt emergency care, the patient's wound would have resulted in significant blood loss, increased risk of infection, and life-threatening complications.

Reportedly, fisherman Ho Van Hung was seriously injured when a piece of steel cut into his left neck at 3 a.m. that same day while fishing near Con Co Island.
