On June 21, the Chinese TV series "Rose Story" starring Liu Yifei, Dong Dawei, Peng Guanying, Lin Gengxin, Wallace Huo... opened on Douban with an average score of 7.1 through 85,000 reviews.
"Rose Story" surpassed the starting score of Wu Jinyan's drama that was also attracting attention when it aired at the same time - "Mo Yu Yun Jian" (reaching 6.8 points on Douban).
Over 7 points is a very positive number compared to the general level of Chinese films broadcast earlier this year.
"The Rose Story" is still ranked Top 1 on the TV drama index charts of Datawin and Vlinkage.
According to Khuc Van's statistics, the number of viewers (views) has reached 100 million views/day (including views on TV and on platforms). As of June 19, the film recorded 113.21 million views/day.
According to Van Hop, "Rose Story" rose to the Top 1 on the view chart on June 20, with an estimated 85 million views/day, and a market share of 27.1%.
On the Tencent Video online distribution platform, "Rose Story" surpassed the temperature point of 31,000, setting a record for the first modern urban film to reach this temperature mark on the platform.
With fans eagerly awaiting the release of the final eight episodes, Tencent announced that it would release all eight episodes on the evening of June 22 for those who subscribed to the preview package. Discussion topics about the series continued to trend on Weibo.
However, the Douban score of "Rose Story" is currently lower than Liu Yifei's two most recent TV works. "Going Where the Wind Blows" (2023) scored 8.7 points with 348,000 reviews, "Meng Hua Lu" (2022) scored 7.9 points with 879,000 reviews.
