Making practical contributions to the activities of the Provincial Journalists Association.

Over the past period, members of the Journalists' Association in Quang Ninh have strived to promote initiative, creativity, and actively disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws to the people, contributing to the successful implementation of political , economic, and social tasks by the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in Quang Ninh province, and building a more sustainably developed Quang Ninh province.

Members of the branch association always prioritize actively studying and training in politics, improving professional skills, seriously cultivating professional ethics and journalistic ethics, and producing many high-quality journalistic works that reflect the vibrant spirit of emulation in local movements.

Journalist Luong Quang Tho, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Resident Journalists Association, stated: "Due to the unique nature of the Resident Journalists Association, with its 37 members operating in a scattered manner throughout the province, effectively utilizing the journalistic activities of its members is a constant concern for the Association. Based on the requirements of its mission, the Association has closely followed the monthly, quarterly, and annual programs and plans of the province and the Quang Ninh Journalists Association to guide its members in their journalistic work."

One of the requirements for members in information and propaganda work is to strictly adhere to the principles, objectives, and directives of superiors. At the same time, they must always ensure the timeliness and relevance of the press, promptly reflecting the legitimate aspirations and concerns of the people and grassroots levels through mass media.

Overall, the members of the Branch Association are united in their work, successfully completing assigned tasks, possessing firm political ideology, and having absolute faith in the Party's policies and the State's laws. They are conscious of building the Branch Association and the Quang Ninh Journalists Association, coordinating closely with agencies, departments, and organizations to effectively carry out the tasks set by the Branch Association, and there are no members who have violated discipline or the Code of Professional Ethics.

During the past term, the Branch Association regularly coordinated with the Quang Ninh Journalists Association to arrange for members to participate in professional training courses on journalism organized by the Vietnam Journalists Association and the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association. These training courses helped members improve their skills in writing news articles, editing programs, taking photos, and applying Industry 4.0 technology in online news reporting…

Furthermore, members of the Branch Association actively participate in the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalism Awards, as well as other annual specialized journalism competitions and awards, and have won several high-ranking prizes. During the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh Province, members of the Branch Association actively promoted and reflected on the achievements of Quang Ninh Province, creating a positive impact on social life.

Charitable social work has always been a priority for the branch association. In recent years, the branch association has coordinated with several units and businesses in the area to donate 6 tons of rice to 6 mountainous districts. It has also maintained cooperation with the Quang Ninh Journalists Association to successfully organize the Spring Press Festival in various localities, and has combined this with donating many gifts to disadvantaged and policy-beneficiary families during the traditional Lunar New Year.

The branch has consistently maintained regular contact with the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association, contributing effectively to the Association's work program. In recognition of its achievements in carrying out journalistic activities, the branch receives a Certificate of Commendation from the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association annually.

Expand activities for exchanging professional experience.

Journalist Luong Quang Tho stated that, as a socio-political and professional organization, in addition to fulfilling its professional duties as a journalist, the branch has responded by contributing funds and actively participating in humanitarian and charitable campaigns of the Fatherland Front, the Red Cross of the city, and other mass social organizations, enabling its members to directly participate in social activities through their profession.

“Through this, the branch has disseminated information through images, news articles, and direct mobilization, encouraging social organizations and philanthropists to participate in local campaigns. The branch's work in humanitarian and charitable activities has contributed to the overall movement of the locality, and has been recognized and highly appreciated by all levels and sectors. Many members have been commended and rewarded by various sectors and levels,” journalist Luong Quang Tho further shared.

Despite the challenging conditions due to the lack of proactive funding, the Branch Association has taken advantage of the guidance from the Provincial Journalists Association and closely followed the regulations and guidelines of the higher-level Journalists Association. It regularly monitors the directives of the local Party committee and government, and keeps abreast of the actual situation to formulate the content and direction of its activities. It consistently reminds its members to uphold the spirit, responsibility, and professional ethics of journalists, producing high-quality journalistic works to serve the socio-economic development of the locality.

Journalist Do Ngoc Ha, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Journalists Association, said that the Resident Journalists Association has done a good job of disseminating information and promoting the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State, and promoting the comprehensive development of Quang Ninh province, contributing to affirming its role as an important information channel in social life. The Association also actively conveys the opinions of the people through mass media in a diverse, timely, and accurate manner.

“The unit's association activities also contribute to diversifying the association's work, thereby gradually enhancing the position of the Provincial Journalists Association. In addition, through the activities of the Provincial Journalists Association's branch, a large number of members are gathered to participate in common activities, protecting the legitimate and legal rights of members and journalists. This includes guiding information dissemination, managing professional ethics, implementing the rules for using social media by Vietnamese journalists, and the Press Law…” - journalist Do Ngoc Ha shared.

Building on the achievements already made, in the coming period, the Association of Resident Journalists will continue to expand its activities to exchange professional experience with other associations and federations of journalists. Leveraging the advantages of a socio-political and professional organization, it will coordinate with agencies, departments, and localities to organize socially relevant activities and strive to generate additional funding to support the Association's activities.

In the current context, which demands continuous innovation and strong efforts from every member, journalist, and level of the Journalists Association, journalist Luong Quang Tho affirmed: “The branch will call on journalist members to unite, uphold the glorious tradition of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, be aware of the political responsibility and civic duty of the press and journalists, and successfully carry out the key tasks of the branch in the coming period.”
