The jackfruit tree in Bu P'rang 2 village, Quang Truc commune ( Lam Dong ) was planted in the early years of the 20th century. Mr. Dieu G'ram, a local resident, said that the jackfruit tree was planted by his relatives around the 30s of the last century.
This stems from the daily living habits and cultural life of the indigenous people. In the past, when life was still lacking, young jackfruit helped people have more food for daily use. During the resistance war against the US to save the country, the current location of the jackfruit tree was also a gathering place, resting place, and living place for cadres and soldiers of the liberation army.
The ancestral jackfruit tree is not only a testament to the history of establishing villages, defending the country, and protecting national border sovereignty of the indigenous Mnong people, but also affirms the territorial sovereignty of the Fatherland's borders. The people here consider protecting the jackfruit tree the responsibility and obligation of every villager with the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.
