Gyokeres has been the focus of Arsenal's transfer talk recently, with a fee agreement with Sporting Lisbon nearing completion.
The Swedish striker is also waiting for both parties to approve his flight to London to undergo a medical examination before officially signing a contract with the Gunners .
However, upon hearing that Isak wanted to leave Newcastle, some Gunners fans lobbied for a last-minute surprise move.
A fan posted on X: "Cancel Gyokeres' medical examination immediately". The status line unexpectedly received 16,000 likes in a few hours.
One fan even wrote: " I'd pay £50m plus Gyokeres for Isak. Or block the Swedish striker's medical."
Viktor Gyokeres is expected to fly to England this weekend to complete the blockbuster deal.
The deal is worth £63.5m, including add-ons, and will see Arsenal sign a striker who scored 39 goals in the Portuguese top flight last season.
As for Isak, he was not included in Newcastle's squad for the Asian tour. The Swedish striker informed his home club that he wanted to consider transfer options.
