In 2025, Chan May commune - Lang Co district successfully completed all 8 key socio-economic targets set. Many targets were met or exceeded, such as total state budget revenue reaching over 17 billion VND (exceeding the target by 143%), the rate of household solid waste collection and treatment exceeding 102%, average per capita income reaching 77.5 million VND (exceeding the target by 101.6%), and the growth rate of the gross domestic product exceeding 100.91% of the plan...

Land clearance work has been prioritized, creating land reserves for large-scale projects. Large-scale factories in the Economic Zone, such as Kim Long Motors Manufacturing Plant, Billion Max Vietnam Export Processing Plant, ports, and many other factories and projects, have entered stable operation, contributing to increased budget revenue and total product value. In agricultural, forestry, and fisheries production, focus has been placed on developing key crops, applying scientific and technical advancements, and transforming the crop and livestock structure to suit the local climate and soil conditions, expanding the area planted with high-economic-value crops.

From July 1st to December 31st, 2025, Chan May commune - Lang Co district received nearly 11,000 administrative procedure applications, resolving over 98% of them. Of these, more than 95% were processed correctly or ahead of schedule, 95% were processed online, and 100% were digitized.

Recently, at a meeting with the Hue City Party Committee, the Party Committee of Chan May - Lang Co commune proposed that the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee consider issuing a specialized resolution on the development of the Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone, and at the same time establish a Steering Committee to focus on leadership, guidance, and promptly resolve any difficulties and obstacles that arise.

The commune of Chân Mây - Lăng Cô also proposed applying a special financial mechanism, allowing the commune to retain 100% of the revenue from land use rights auctions in residential areas, while also considering allocating 5-10% of the generated budget revenue to invest in education, essential infrastructure, and social welfare, especially for households affected by land clearance.

Hue City Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung highly appreciated the efforts of the Party Committee, government, and people of Chan May - Lang Co commune, which, despite being a newly established locality with a recently reorganized administrative structure, has quickly stabilized its organization, effectively operated the two-tiered local government model, and achieved many positive results in socio-economic development.

The City Party Secretary affirmed that Chan May - Lang Co plays a particularly important strategic role in the overall development of Hue City, especially in the development of the marine economy, industry, tourism, and logistics. However, the great potential of the area has not yet been exploited to its full potential, and the demands and expectations for the next phase are very high.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung requested the Party Committee of the City People's Committee to coordinate with the Party Committee of Chan May - Lang Co commune and relevant units to advise the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to issue a Resolution on the development of Chan May - Lang Co urban area for the period 2026 - 2030. Following this, a Steering Committee should be established to effectively implement the resolution, aiming to develop Chan May - Lang Co to a level befitting a dynamic economic zone in the southern part of Hue City.

- State budget revenue reached 201.2 billion VND.

- The poverty rate has decreased to 0.85%.

- The percentage of the population using clean water reached 90.5%.

- The rate of household solid waste collection has reached 90%.

- The percentage of drug-free villages reached 48%.
