Stage 10 of HTV - Ton Dong A Television Cup 2025: Mikhail Fokin takes the throne on Hai Van Pass

(NLDO) - With a spectacular breakthrough on Hai Van Pass, Russian racer Mikhail Fokin won the Red Jersey of the King of the Mountains, and also took the Yellow Jersey from Loic Desriac.

On April 13, stage 10 of the 37th Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) - Ton Dong A 2025 National Cycling Race, themed "The Country and Rivers Together", took place from Hue to Da Nang , a distance of 117.5 km. This is considered the most intense and dramatic stage since the beginning of the season.

Right from the start of Hai Van Pass, a group of strong climbers such as Mikhail Fokin, Johnny Hoogerland, Samuel Jenner, Ethan Batt, Savva Novikov... continuously attacked. Fokin was the only one who successfully broke away, reached the top of the pass first, and won the red dot jersey - king of the mountain.

After the descent, Fokin continued to solo but was caught by a group of four riders including Hoogerland, Jenner, Batt and Novikov. In the sprint to the finish line in Da Nang City, Ethan Batt (Le Fruit Maxxis Dong Nai ) excellently overtook everyone to win the stage.

However, by finishing in the top group and creating a gap of more than 2 minutes and 30 seconds compared to Desriac, Mikhail Fokin officially took the Yellow Jersey - ending the 9-stage consecutive domination streak of French racer Loic Desriac.

In the domestic group, three racers Le Ngoc Son (Loc Troi Group), Pham Le Xuan Loc (Military Zone 7) and Nguyen Hoang Sang (Le Fruit Maxxis Dong Nai) were the first to reach the top of Hai Van Pass.

Thanks to that, Le Ngoc Son surpassed his teammate Nguyen Tan Hoai to win the Orange Jersey - the title of the Vietnamese racer with the best performance. Meanwhile, Xuan Loc rose to win the White Jersey - awarded to the outstanding young racer.

The green jersey - the sprint king - is still in the hands of New Zealand racer Nick Kergozou (620 Vinh Long Agriculture ).

On April 14 , the racers entered stage 11 from Da Nang to Tam Ky (Quang Nam) with a length of 86 km.
