Find True Love in 5 Days
Dính thính Yêu (Love) is a romantic film genre. The film revolves around Taek-seon (Bae Doo-na), known as the Minister of Indifference, President of the Indifferent Association, and Leader of the Anti-Love Group. Living a life like a "mobile iceberg", Taek-seon is suddenly infected with the "love virus", a strange disease that makes people unable to control their desire to love and be loved. If they do not find true love within 5 days, the infected person will die, literally from loneliness.
Faced with a life-and-death situation, Taek-seon is forced to find love and meets three men in the hope that they can change her fate: researcher Nam Soo-pil, elementary school classmate Kim Yeon-woo, and medical expert Lee Kyun.
The "half-crying, half-laughing" love reactions that begin to explode during Taek-seon's healing journey make her wonder, is this just a symptom brought on by the virus or is it true love?
Watching the teaser trailer, the audience will clearly feel the humorous and lovely atmosphere in every look and gesture of the characters, promising to create explosive chemistry between famous acting stars.
Starring
Bae Doo-na is known as a “big sister” of the Korean screen with her unique and edgy style through a series of psychological, crime-solving and action films. Her career is associated with prestigious awards such as Blue Dragon, Baeksang, and the title of “muse” of director Bong Joon-ho through Barking Dogs Never Bite (2000) and The Host (2006).
She also made her mark in Hollywood with the films Cloud Atlas (2012) co-starring Tom Hanks and Jupiter Ascending (2015).
However, in Dinh thinh la yeu, Bae Doo-na brings a completely new image, an energetic, positive, and somewhat "crazy" girl. The role marks a transformation from a cold woman in love to a shy girl when her heart flutters. Her colorful performance, along with her good chemistry with her three male co-stars, promises to bring lots of laughter to the audience.
The film also features an outstanding cast of male actors. Kim Yoon-seok is known as the “acting icon” of Korean cinema, having appeared in blockbusters such as The Chaser (2008), The Thieves (2012), 1987: When The Day Comes (2017).
Actor Son Suk-ku made a strong impression through popular TV series such as DP (2021, 2023), My Liberation Notes (2022), The Roundup (2022).
Also joining the film is newcomer Chang Ki-ha, former lead singer of the rock band Kiha & The Faces, a Korean music phenomenon in 2008 with the hit Cheap Coffee. He is also the music director of the film Smugglers (2023), which won Best Original Score at the Blue Dragon.
