On the afternoon of December 1st, speaking with a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Cong Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghi Phong commune, Nghi Loc district, Nghe An province , said that a large fire had just occurred at a scrap metal warehouse in the area.

According to initial reports, the fire broke out at approximately 2:30 PM on December 1st. At that time, residents suddenly discovered flames erupting at a scrap metal warehouse in Hamlet 9, Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province.
The flames then quickly engulfed the entire scrap yard, with smoke rising hundreds of meters into the air.
