Large fire in a camp in Bac Giang leaves 1 person dead

On the morning of October 27, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Mr. Le Hoang Bach, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Viet Yen district (Bac Giang province) said that the fire broke out at around 11:45 p.m. on October 26, in the area of ​​the workers' camp building a factory in Quang Chau Industrial Park.

"The fire burned down 4 temporary houses made of iron frames, covered and roofed with corrugated iron, with a total area of ​​about 1,600 square meters, 7 motorbikes, and many household items," said Mr. Bach.

At around 1:30 a.m. on October 27, the fire was basically extinguished. After that, the authorities searched the scene and discovered a charred victim inside the temporary house (suspected to be Mr. QVM, born in 2004, from Dien Bien province).

It is known that the fire area is a camp for workers working in Quang Chau Industrial Park. The camp has many tarpaulins, wooden sleeping beds, some oil barrels, and construction equipment, so when the fire broke out, the fire flared up strongly and spread very quickly.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
