During General Secretary To Lam’s visit to Russia, the two countries’ ministries and sectors signed nearly 20 cooperation documents. Professor Vladimir Kolotov emphasized the cooperation agreement to restore the nuclear power plant construction project in Vietnam and considered this the beginning of a new era.

Researcher of the ASEAN Center and journalist of the Rossiya Segodnya news agency, Elena Nikulina, reiterated that Vietnam and Russia have a special relationship that has been going on for decades. The Russian people always have special feelings for Vietnam and have always followed the strong development of Vietnam.

For Russians in general, General Secretary To Lam's visit to Russia and attendance at the 80th anniversary of Victory Day is very meaningful. Expert Nikulina believes that the visit will open a new stage for bilateral relations, with parallel development of economic and political cooperation.

Professor, Doctor of Economics Vladimir Buianov - Chairman of the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association said that the schedule of General Secretary To Lam's visit is very dense, with dozens of meetings, attending forums, talks, meeting leaders of major Russian political parties, attending factory openings, reopening direct flights, discussing cooperation, which will create a new, strong impetus to develop relations between the two countries. That affirms that in the coming time, bilateral relations will continue to develop more vigorously.
